How to add an audio file to a PowerPoint?

Instead of pressing the Insert button, you can click on the arrow next to it and select the “Link to file”, a link to the file will be created which will reduce the size of the document. However, if you use the presentation on another computer, you will have to re-link the audio file to the presentation. PowerPoint supports various formats such as “MP3”, “MP4”, “WAV”, and “AAC”.

• Record audio

If you want to record a new audio file, click on the record button (“Record Audio”) to bring up the “Record Sound” window. Choose a name for your audio file and then click “Record” on the recording window to get started.

The music player is a new addition to the slide that can be added by inserting or recording an audio file. It has buttons for forwarding/backward play, a pause button as well as options such as editing and customization of your song on here! In these cases, by bookmarking that part (or segments) you will easily access them when the file is executed – To do so first click on what needs bookkeeping and then select Add Bookmark; afterward, a yellow circle appears in the selected area which can be used for presentation purposes!

You can use as many bookmarks for an audio file as you want, and they’re easy to delete too! Just select the desired bookmark from your list of favorites before deleting it.

• Cut the audio file using the Editing group

The Editing group box lets you control the playback interval for an audio file. To do this, select your desired trim time in either minute or hour format using green/red bars at start and end respectively then input the required duration into respective fields via the calendar interface that opens up upon selecting “Trim Audio.”
When setting the beginning point make sure it’s before any music starts playing because once cutting begins there cannot be interference from other sounds happening simultaneously!

• Fade duration

By setting the Fade in and Fade out options, we can blur the sound when we want, but using this option is not very common.

Audio Option Group

• Volume

The options for sound files are Low (quiet), Medium, and High. If you want to be able to hear everything clearly without any interference from other noises, then select the “High” option on this screen; otherwise choose one of the Lower three qualities: ‘Medium’ or lower.’

• Start

In this section, you can set the audio file playback mode on slides to one of the following options:

On Click Sequence: Selecting this option will play the selected audio file at runtime with a single click of the keyboard or mouse.

Automatically: By selecting this option, the audio file will be played automatically when the slide is played.

• Play Across Slides

With this setting, the selected audio file will play across your entire presentation.

• Loop until Stopped

With the “Loop” option, you can have your music play on loop until stopped. If it goes too long without being clicked or closed out of my editing software like Garage band for iOS (a free app), then this will repeat everything from the beginning!

• Hide During Show

With this option checked, the audio file icon will not appear when slides are played.

• Rewind after Playing

By activating this option, you can return the sound to its beginning.

• Quickly adjust the audio file using Audio Style

When you import your audio file into PowerPoint, the Audio Style value is set to No style by default. In this group, there’s also an option called “Play in Background” which can be activated if need be for playing music on all slides without any special settings like cutting sound or bookmarking so it will play continuously throughout each slide while editing content within a presentation macro recorder – very useful! Enable these options when importing files from songs available online as well at the Microsoft Office Online hub.

How to Remove the audio file from PowerPoint?
