How to download image from Figma?

Figma is an excellent tool for designers. But can you download images from Figma as well?

You have many options for creating a Figma design that you wish to download. You can download individual elements (such as buttons and icons) in separate files or save whole designs (such as web pages and banners) as PDFs or images. You can also download backups of your entire project.

Figma allows you to download images. Figma, a vector-based design software that allows users to create designs that can then be exported as images, is called Figma.

To export an image from Figma, go to File > Export> Export As and choose the file type you wish to export. To export your designs, you can use Shift +E.

Method A: Download individual images, buttons, and icons

– You can open your project in Figma. Download individual images from a frame or artboard; it is super simple. Open your Figma project.

Select the image you wish to export. Click it to choose it. Hold down the Shift keyboard and click on each image to select them. The Layers panel will appear on the left side.

Click the + button next to Export. This button is located at the bottom of Figma’s Design panel.

– Choose a format for your images. The default format is PNG. However, you can choose another format by clicking the menu. Other options include JPG and SVG for vector images that can easily be resized without warping.

– Choose a size.

  • Exporting as a PDF makes it impossible to alter the size.

You can include additional sizes and formats in your download (optional strong>) If you wish to download the image(s), in multiple formats or sizes, you can do this. This is a good option if the image needs to be in multiple formats (e.g., PDF and JPG) or in different dimensions. You can add another format or size:

Click the + button at the top right of the Export panel.

You can also choose another format from this menu.

If you choose a different format than PDF, select another size.

You can repeat the process for all other formats and sizes you wish to include in your file.

– Click on the button. It is located in the Export panel at the bottom-right. You will be asked to save the ZIP file containing selected images to your computer.

You can choose a location to save the files and then select Save.

Method B: Download a design as an image or PDF

– You have several options for saving an image or mockup created in Figma. Start by opening Figma.

  • This will allow you to download an entire design with multiple layers (such as a landing page, hero image, or banner ad) in a shareable image/PDF file.
  • You can download the entire website or app mockup in a single PDF. Each frame is on its own page.

– Choose what you wish to download. If you have a landing page, you want to save as PNG; you can draw a box around it. The Frames panel is located on the left side.

Click the frame to choose one frame and all its contents.

You can select multiple frames by holding down the Shift keys while you click each frame.

If you need to save your entire project as a PDF, or an image to share with others, you can draw a box around it.

Frame the selection. This will ensure that your design downloads as one complete image or PDF. Here’s how:

  • Right-click or Control-click the area you wish to edit. The context menu will be expanded.
  • Select Frame selection from the menu. Everything inside the selection will now be grouped as one image.
  • You can choose not to select this option. Everything in the selected area will be downloaded as separate files (such as a separate icon file, background images, etc.) instead of a complete design.

– Click on the + next “Export.” This button is located at the bottom of Figma’s Design panel.

– Choose a format to download your files. PNG is the default format. However, you can choose another format by clicking on the menu. Other options include JPG and SVG for vector images that can easily be resized without warping.

– Choose a size. By default, 1x is the size. However, you can change it as often as possible as long as you save it in an image format (PNG/JPG or SVG).

You can only save it as a PDF 1x.

You can add additional sizes or formats to your download (optional strong>). If you need another format or different sizes for the same design in your file, it is easy. Here’s how:

Click the + button at the top right of the Export panel.

You can also choose another format from this menu, such as or .

If you choose a different format than PDF, select another size.

You can repeat the process for all other formats and sizes you wish to include in your file.

Shift+ Command+E (Mac) or This keyboard shortcut will open the Export menu. Here you’ll find a list of files that are ready for Export.

This menu can be accessed by clicking on the Figma (the F at the top-left), selecting File, and then clicking Export.

Use the checkboxes for which elements you want to save. This export list includes the images and PDFs you created and the individual elements that make up those images. You can click on the checkmarks to delete individual images from your download package if you do not wish to download them.

  • You will receive separate PDF files for every frame if you download a design with multiple frames. If you do not want these files, you can uncheck them.

– To save the file(s), click the button. It is at the top and the bottom of the Export window. The selected designs will be downloaded to your computer as a single ZIP file.
