PowerPoint presentations help demonstrate and provide information. They allow for visual learning and make it easier to absorb the presented materials. For this reason, many use PowerPoint presentations in their work or studies. However, creating a good presentation is not easy especially if you had no experience with doing so before.

First, you will need to choose topics that can be illustrated using PowerPoint slides. These may include your career goals, the topic of your research paper or dissertation, educational history or resume, etc. You should pick the one that matters the most to you at present so that you can express them well during your presentation. Think of how you want to convey your message and determine the best method on how it would be shown effectively through slides that contain words and images. Be creative in developing the slides but make sure that they are relevant to your presentation’s intended topic.

what is a PowerPoint presentation?

A PowerPoint presentation is a slide show consisting of a series of images, each of which is displayed for a fixed amount of time before transitioning to the next.

PowerPoint is a presentation program from the Microsoft Office suite. It was initially available as a standalone application in 1990, known as Presenter. In addition to being created by Microsoft, PowerPoint has been released in various forms for use on Macintosh computers and online at their web-based service called Office Online (formerly known as “Office Web Apps”).

The menu offers a number of tools and features that you can use to customize your video. From the size, backdrop color, or text in front it’s easy for any user with access here to find what they need quickly!

Toolbar

The toolbar menu can be found in many Microsoft software such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Change the bar’s function with a button push or use your favorite man, whichever you prefer!

Here are tabs in the toolbar:

File:  Make your PowerPoint presentations shareable and exportable with ease!

Home:  What is the world’s most essential tool? The answer might surprise you. It isn’t Microsoft Word or Excel – it’s PowerPoint! All hail King Documerica (or as we like to call him, “HP.”). Why do all these people love using this program so much that they would give up their laptop for a chance at being able to work on one hint-of?”

Insert:  The versatility of this program is unparalleled. It can be used to add tables, photos, and videos in various formats such as EXIF data or MP4 file types which will allow you more control over how they’re displayed on your website!

Design: Includes a complete overview of the theme settings and writing style of your presentation.

Transition: Add animation when you change slides.

Animations: Insert or exit the control of any command and method into the slide.

Slide Show: This shows the control of how you present your presentation when sharing it with an audience.

Now that you have learned about the toolbar, let’s take a look at important tabs:

Home tab

The Home tab in PowerPoint is a great place to start when you’re looking for common tools. From there, it only makes sense that this would be where people find all their favorite features! This part of the program has everything from adding new slides or changing the text size and paragraph settings – so no matter what kind of change needs doing on your computer screen today (or tomorrow), chances are good these functions will let them get back up right away.

Insert tab

If you want to add new content in a snap then the Insert tab has all of your options covered.

View tab

PowerPoint offers a variety of views that allow you to edit and create your presentations in different ways. You can change the view for any content from within your various presentations by selecting it, then clicking on View tab > chooses which type/IDES prefer: Normal or Hidden slides (these don’t show up until editing). From here there is also an option called “Change + To Title” which allows us more customization when naming our document accordingly!

Design tab

The design tab in PowerPoint is where you can choose from different themes and styles that will help your presentation stand out.
You’re probably wondering what these options mean. Well, they control how much decoration (or graphics) are added to each slide for visual effect!

In the Design tab, you can click on one of the themes to display, or you can select a thumbnail and try the themes on it.

How to make a PowerPoint presentation step by step?

Step-1-Open PowerPoint

You will see two boxes in the middle, one of which tells you to click on it for instructions about adding titles (“click here”) And another allows subtitles.

Step2-Add slides

The possibilities are endless when it comes to the content and design of your PowerPoint presentations. You can fill each individual slide with whatever you want, whether it’s an image or video clip (or both!). To add new ones simply go under “Home” in tab navigation at the bottom right corner then click on the option called New Slides which will open up a menu full of options including those choices all along the left side where we choose Title & Content type before causing our creation process begins!

The left sidebar of your PowerPoint file is a gallery with thumbnails that show the slides. There’s no practical limit to how many there can be!

Step3-Add content to the slides

The next step is to add content to the slides. You can do this by typing text into the text boxes, adding images, or creating charts and diagrams. To format the text or images, select them and use the formatting tools that appear at the top of the screen.

  • Make text edits: Another way is by typing directly on the slide itself using the text box tool found in the Home tab of your PowerPoint toolbar. There are two ways you can change font attributes such as its color, size, style, etc. The first option is through the “text editing” tab on the toolbar. The second option is by using the toolbar’s “Home” tab with font selectors directly next to each text box.
  • Add an image, shape, and more: You can add any type of content to your slides. You can paste pictures or clip art, and insert tables, charts, videos, and other rich media files into slides. To do so, simply select the slide you want to fill with content. If it’s a shape or picture you are inserting( for instance), head over to the Insert tab on the toolbar. From there choose the shape or image that you want to insert into your PowerPoint presentation.

Step 4: Choose a theme and writing style

With the presentation’s design complete, it is now time to add a visual style that will attract your audience. To do this go onto tab and select one of their themes from an available list with just one click!

Depending on your audience, you might want to choose a different template for your presentation.
