b. If you want to restart numbering with each section, select the Sections check box, and then enter the number you want to start with in the Starting at box.

5. Do one of the following:
a. To apply your header and footer changes to all slides in the presentation, click Apply to All.
b. To apply your header and footer changes to only the selected slide, click Apply.
6. When you’re done, on the Slide Master tab, in the Close group, click Close Master View.

1. On the View tab, in the Master Views group, click Slide Master.
2. Select the slide master or layout in the left pane.
3. Do any of the following:
a. To add a placeholder, on the Slide Master tab, in the Placeholders group, click Insert Placeholder, and then click the type of placeholder you want to add.
b. To delete a placeholder, select it, and then press DELETE.
c. To move a placeholder, click it, and then drag it to the new location.
d. To resize a placeholder, point to the edge of the placeholder until you see the Resize cursor , and then click and drag the edge of the placeholder until it’s the size you want.
4. Do one of the following:
a. To apply your changes to all slides in the presentation, click Apply to All.
b. To apply your changes to only the selected slide, click Apply.
5. When you’re done, on the Slide Master tab, in the Close group, click Close Master View.
