How to Add Table Border in PowerPoint?

The default style of tables in PowerPoint makes it difficult for readers to easily distinguish data mentioned within them. For this reason, I’ve made a ready-to-use article that shows how you can add borders and other formatting options such as color or fonts when creating your own table designs!

To add a border around the table cells, click on borders from the Table Design tab and choose All Border.

Using Table Style to Add Border

 

Step 1: Click on the “Table Design” tab

The first step is to click on the table to which you want to add borders. Then click on the “Table Design” tab from the menu ribbon located at the top of the screen.

 

Step 2: Click on the “All Borders” option

Click on the downward arrow by “Borders” in order to expand your options. Clicking this will show you all of the different types and styles available for table borders, so use them wisely!

Microsoft PowerPoint offers a great new feature that allows you to change the style of table borders in presentations. To do so, follow these three easy steps!

 

Step 1: Click on the “Table Design” tab

To create a table in your PowerPoint presentation, first, click on the table inside one of its slides. From there you can find an option for “Table Design” under contextual menu tabs which will allow customization to size and color if needed- perfect!

 

Step 2: Click on the “Pen Style” option

Click the “Pen Style” box to change your border design. Choose from a dropdown menu under PenStyle for your preferred style!

 

Step 3: Click on the “Borders” option

Click on the “Border” option in table styles to change your borders.

How to Change the Table Border Thickness in PowerPoint?

To change the border thickness of a table in Microsoft PowerPoint, all you have to do is follow these 3 simple steps.

 

Step 1: Click on the “Table Design” tab

In order to change the design of your table, go into the Design tab in the menu bar and select “Table Designs”. 

In this example, I will show how one might customize their bullet journal with different layouts for each month or season!

 

Step 2: Click on “Pen Weight”

In the “Draw Borders” group of the “Table Design” tab, click on the “Pen Weight” box. In the dropdown menu under the “Pen Weight” option, click on your preferred border weight.

 

Step 3: Click on the “Borders” option

Now all you have to do is click on the “Borders” option in the “Table Styles” group to apply the changed border width.

How to Change Table Border Color in PowerPoint?

The table border can be customized in Microsoft PowerPoint. I’ll show you how to change the color of your tables’ borders and what steps are necessary for doing so! 

 

Step 1: Click on the “Pen Color” option

In the “Table Design” tab, you have to first click on the “Pen Color” option from the “Draw Table” group. This will open a dropdown list containing theme color options. Click on your preferred color.

 

Step 2: Click on “Borders”

In order to change the color of your table’s border, all you need is a simple click in this tab!

 

How to Remove Border to Selected Cells of a Table in PowerPoint?

To remove the border of selected cells in PowerPoint, you have to first select the specific cells. In the dropdown menu under the “Borders” option of the “Table Design” menu, click on the “No Border” option to remove the borders of the selected cells in the PowerPoint table.

How to Remove Table Border in PowerPoint?

The borders on a table can be easily removed by selecting the cell within which you wish to remove them and clicking “Table Design” in Microsoft PowerPoint. Next, click the down arrow beside the “Borders” option located at the bottom right corner of the screen; select No Border if available, or else choose another type from the list provided there before making desired changes Finally moves the cursor over the OK button near the middle finish process.
